Fleuron Paris

I’m so excited to review this brand from Paris called Fleuron Paris. Although I’ve been in love with luxury brands for handbags such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel, my trip to Paris really inspired me towards this idea of quiet luxury. These items are made from high quality leathers similar to high end luxury but at an affordable price.

Fleuron Paris is a brand that I have never heard of until my visit to Paris although it is popular in France. This brand incorporates the beauty of nature and designs are more feminine. Fleuron in French means flower shaped ornament and you can see hints of this inspiration in their products especially the one I will review today.

Fleuron handbags consist of high quality leathers sourced in renowned tanneries in Italy, Belgium, and Spain and are manufactured in Italy.

They believe in providing high quality products at an affordable price.

Mini Hortensia (color: Bordeaux): one of the best things about Fleuron is the multitude of color options their products come in. It was so hard to decide which color I wanted but since I have so many handbags that are neutral colors I knew I wanted to purchase one in a color. I ended up purchasing this handbag in the color Bordeaux which is a gorgeous burgundy color. The pictures do not do it justice!

The bag came well packaged and wrapped in a branded dust bag. Fleuron also sent a cute shopper tote with the shipment which is such a nice touch!

Once I unwrapped the handbag it was love at first sight. The leather is incredibly soft and the hand bag is beautiful. The gold clasp closure in the shape of a flower is reflective of the brands name. The interior is lined with a soft microsuede lining and the bag has multiple compartments. Despite being a mini bag I still found it to be spacious for all my necessities: my LV coin purse, keys, hand sanitizer, phone. The strap of the bag can be lengthened to wear the bag as a crossbody or shortened to fit as a shoulder bag.

Overall for the quality of the handbag I think this is a great value. They ship free to the US with a purchase over $325. This handbag currently retails at $565. I wish I discovered this brand when I was in Paris and will definitely be visiting their boutique on my next trip!

Bobbies Paris

Hi everyone hope you had a great weekend! I’m so excited to do this review and share a newly discovered brand for me: Bobbies Paris. These shoes are popular in France but not well known here in the United States. Is it just me or are shoes just better in Europe?

These shoes are designed in Paris and manufactured in family owned workshops in Portugal (their leather goods are manufactured in Spain). Their leathers are high quality and sourced in well-known tanneries from Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France. These leathers are certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG). The LWG promotes sustainable and responsible leather production.

Overall I’m becoming more and more impressed with not only the style of European shoes but the quality and comfort! Bobbies Paris shoes have that classic Parisian aesthetic and are similar to Carel in terms of comfort but for half the price especially on sale!

Becca (color sepia gold, size 36): these gold sling-backs are glamorous and the comfort is unmatched. The strap design is unique and unlike other sling-backs I currently own. This color and style is currently 30% off! I love everything about these.

Abby (color toffee, size 36): I absolutely love these! For a long time I have been thinking about investing in a pair of Gucci pumps based on feedback from family on their comfort but I haven’t been able to find a pair I love enough to spend that much. I’m so happy I held off and found these. Not only are they just as beautiful but I actually found them MORE comfortable than the Gucci horse-bit slingback pumps. The leather is extremely soft and supple. These are currently 20% off in this color and style!

Sizing:

I found Bobbies shoes to run slightly smaller than Carel with the sling-backs fitting me perfectly in the 36. I hope to soon invest in a pair of their Mary Jane style Bettany and will report back on the sizing but based on how the sling-backs fit I will likely size up to a 37. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem they have half sizes.

Although these shoes are a Parisian brand I actually didn’t come across it until I returned home and started researching European shoe brands. I ended up taking a risk and ordering these online on their website. Shipping is quick within 2-5 business days and free with a purchase over $200. Returns are free with a prepaid label available for download within 15 days of delivery. Articles must be unused in original condition and packaging.

Overall I love these shoes? It was so difficult to decide because I want them in every style and color. I’m so happy I discovered this brand and look forward to trying additional styles in the future.

What I bought in Paris: Carel

I thought it would be fitting that my first post highlight my first trip to the fashion capital of the world: Paris! Believe me when I tell you that it is 100% worth the trip if you love fashion especially luxury!

While in Paris, I discovered brands I have never heard of and brands that are not mainstream in the US. I was intentional about my purchases, something I try to be aware of. If you don’t love it don’t get it. If you can’t stop thinking about it and will regret walking away from it, it’s worth the investment. My shopping list for this trip: unique pieces that would be uncommon where I live.

Shoes

I believe in comfort when it comes to shoes. But I don’t believe you need to sacrifice style for comfort. I likely own over 100 pairs of shoes. I have tried so many brands but it has been difficult to find shoes that are both comfortable and stylish. I tried various brands of shoes when I was in Paris. Originally I had my eyes on a pair of Ferragamo pumps but they didn’t have my size in the color and style I liked. It wasn’t meant to be. Then as I walked through Le Bon Marche (a must see for shopping lovers) I stumbled upon the cutest Mary Jane’s from a brand I have never heard of called Carel Paris.

Let me tell you that I felt like Cinderella putting on these shoes. They just fit. The style was so Parisian and these were the shoes I didn’t know I needed in my life. I ended up buying 3 pairs but was determined to have them vary in style. (pictured below).

Sizing: varied by style but mostly true to size. I am usually a 6 in US or 36 in European sizing.

Ariana (color black, size 36): These suede flats fit perfectly in the 36. Normally I have difficulty finding flats comfortable due to the natural arch of my feet but these have amazing sole support. I felt like I was walking on clouds.

Kina (color camel, size 36): These heels are probably the most comfortable pair of pumps I own. Comfortable right out of the box with literally zero break on period needed. The heel is 44 mm tall and I could walk comfortably in these shoes for 8+ hours.

Julia (color gray and beige cap toe, size 36): This shoe is an in between style between the last two I mentioned. It has a smaller heel than the Kina and the cap toe gives it something a little extra to make it stand out.

I found that the sling-backs and patent kina pumps run slightly big. Unfortunately they didn’t have a 5.5 in the styles I liked but again to me this was a sign it wasn’t meant to be.

Ultimately I believe these shoes were completely worth it. I’ve worn them on rotation in the last few weeks since I returned home. I am on my feet at work the majority of my 8 hour day and have had no pain and no blisters with no break in period needed. These shoes are so good I want them in every color. A girl can dream can’t she?

I hope this post help you learn of a new brand of shoes. I can’t wait to continue to share more items I purchased in Paris in my “What I bought in Paris” series. Until Next time!
